What Happened:
The venue stood amongst beautiful parkland and backed onto a huge lake, with cruise boats sailing up and down, what a perfect settling… we then found out that the lake had been empty since the winter and had been filled early with special permission from the Mayor especially for the event only 2 days prior to us arriving…thank goodness; Alberto Falcone was giving a class on décor for waterside events, you can see pictures of this and other outdoor décor he created in the event gallery!
100 delegates arrived from all over Romania a few from France and one from Saudi Arabia! For many this would be their first ever balloon event. The education program was a great mix between décor, twisting and deco-twisting, working with a great team of instructors including Alberto Falcone CBA, Jodie Norris CBA, Luc Bertrand CBA, Dee White CBA, Colin Myles CBA and Linda Carling CBA plus an introduction to working with Conwin equipment and special effects with Conwin’s European Sales Manager Sue Marston-Weston CBA.
The first morning started with Romania’s very first CBA examination, tension was high but they soon settled down to complete the required elements, 6 passed and were thrilled to be the first CBA’s in Romania. Congratulations to all those who took part.
For 3 days the delegates and instructors worked hard, but rewarded with a fun gala party, OK, we all had to work hard to create the décor…which I have to say was magical, well the theme was ‘Fairyland’!
