1. Recharge the detonator battery a day before the event. Use Conwin's
battery tester to insure the battery is fully charged prior to rigging
the cannons.
2. Recharge the cannon cylinder with approximately 800 - 1000 PSI of helium or nitrogen
before the event. The pressure gauge will indicate if the cannon
is charged. Check the gauge before rigging the cannon.
3. Test fire the cannons prior to the event to confirm the following:
The base plates are properly weighted and will not tip when
the cannons are fired.
The height and angle of the cannon barrel is adjusted to
achieve the desired effect.
Experiment with various types and amounts of confetti to
achieve the best results.
4. When loading the cannon, do not tamp or tightly pack the barrel
with confetti. This will cause the confetti to clump and will reduce
the air time of the special effect.
5. Rig the cannons in venues with high ceilings. The higher the cannon is rigged, the longer the confetti will float in the air creating
a better special effect.
6. To prevent accidental firing, do not plug the cannon lead line
into detonator box until the last minute.
7. Fire the cannons individually. Hold down the detonator button until the first cannon
has fully fired. Wait a few seconds until the confetti enters the
guests peripheral vision then fire the second cannon. This creates
more excitement and extends the length of the special effect.
