To make the "double bubble" balloon, slip a straw into
a 11" pink balloon. This will enable you to easily insert the
pink balloon inside a 16" clear flower-print balloon. When
the balloon necks are even, remove the straw.
Use Conwin's Duplicator 2
to inflate the "double bubble" balloons. The Duplicator
2's automatic sizing feature will quickly inflate the balloons to
a consistent size. Set the Duplicator 2 to 10. Move the neck of
the 11" balloon aside and inflate the 16" balloon first.
Press the Duplicator 2 button twice to deliver two cycles of helium
to the 16" balloon.
Readjust your hold on the balloon and place the 11" balloon
over the filling outlet. Press the Duplicator
2 button once to fill the 11" balloon.
To tie the "double bubble" balloons directly on the Monofilament
Archline, pull the neck of the inside pink balloon out 2 to
3 inches.
Wrap the neck of the pink balloon around the line and the neck
of the outside clear balloon as you tie the knot. Spacing is important
-- tie the balloons as close as possible to the desired position.
For exact spacing, gently slide the balloons on the line. The 16"
balloons should just touch each other.
Enhance the "double bubble" arch with 6" air-filled
hearts. Cool glue approximately 8" of #5 ribbon to each 6"
heart. Tie the end of each ribbon to a "double bubble"
balloon to complete the arch.
