Duplicator 2

To make the "double bubble" balloon, slip a straw into an 11" Pearl Blue Balloon. This will enable you to easily insert the blue balloon inside a 16" clear flower-print balloon. When the balloon necks are even, remove the straw. Set the Duplicator 2 to 10. Move the neck of the 11" balloon aside and inflate the 16" balloon first. Press the Duplicator 2 button twice to deliver two cycles of helium to the 16" balloon. Or click here for further instructions on how to make a"double bubble."

Readjust your hold on the balloon and place the 11" balloon over the filling outlet. Press the Duplicator 2 button once to fill the 11" balloon.

To tie the double bubble balloons directly on the monofilament, pull the neck of the inside blue balloon out to 2 to 3 inches. Wrap the neck of the blue balloon around the line and the neck of the outside clear balloon as you tie the knot. Spacing is important -- tie the balloons as close as possible to the desired position. For exact spacing, gently slide the balloons on the line. The 16" balloons should just touch each other.

Tie 6" wide tulle to each 16" balloon, leaving a 4" tail that reaches to the center of the arch approximately 1' off the floor. Gather the long pieces of tulle together in the center of the arch and secure with a cluster of four 5" balloons inflated to 3". Secure the cluster approximately 2' up from the floor, leaving the gathered bunch of tulle cascading down.

Build a second String-of-Pearls arch using 11" pearl blue balloons. Set the Duplicator 2 to 10 and inflate each balloon and tie it onto the Monofilament Archline. Again, spacing is critical. The balloons should just touch each other. Make "tulle tufts" by cutting a 6" piece of 6"-wide tulle. Gather the tulle in the center and tie with a piece of iridescent curling ribbon onto the neck of the 11" balloon. This adds a soft accent to the base of the balloons.

Position the String-of-Pearls arch in front of the Double Bubble arch. The String-of-Pearls arch should be slightly shorter than the Double Bubble arch to allow the Double Bubble arch to frame the background.

Duplicator 2 with Foot Pedal
The Duplicator 2 automatically inflates and sizes latex balloons. The separate automatic foil outlet inflates foils to the correct pressure and size, saving money by avoiding costly balloon breakage.
