  20 20" Gold Foil Stars
20 11" Pearl White Balloons
1 Base Plate
1 5' Conduit Pole
Clear Packing Tape
Precision Air Inflator
Extension Hose Inflator with Auto-Fill Foil Outlet
Confetti Cannon

Place 6 gold foil stars on the floor in the pattern shown making sure that the necks of the balloons are pointing outward and all bar code labels are facing down. Tape the points of the stars together using 6 inch strips of clear packing tape. Repeat this step to make the second side.

Inflate the stars with nitrogen using the Extension Hose Inflator with an Auto-Fill Foil Outlet. As the balloons inflate and the sphere starts to take shape, make sure that the tape side of the balloons is facing outward on the curved side of the ball. With the tape on the outside of the star ball the joints will be stronger. Repeat this step for the second side and tape the two inflated sides together. Set the completed star ball aside and build the column.

Place the 5' pole into the riser on the steel base plate. Tape the detonator wire for the Confetti Cannon to the pole before building the column. Leave enough slack in the line to easily plug into the cannon. Using the Precision Air set at 2.4 seconds, inflate 2 11" balloons. Tie the 2 balloons together, forming a duplet. Make a second duplet and twist the 2 duplets together into a balloon quad. Push the quad onto the column at the base. Add a second quad to the column. Tape 4 gold stars together in a row. Wrap the stars around into a circle and tape. Using the Extension Hose Inflator and nitrogen, inflate the 4 star ring. Slide the star ring over the top of the pole and set it on top of the balloon quad. Add 2 more quads and another star ring.

Finish the column with 1 more balloon quad. Leave approximately 18"- 24" of the pole exposed. Load the Confetti Cannon. Attach the cannon rigging mount to the pole and plug in the detonator wire. For best results, set the cannon at a steep angle to shoot high into the room. Run the wire from the base of the column back to the remote detonator box. Use duct tape to secure the wire to the ground.

Position the star ball on top of the column with the Confetti Cannon barrel aimed through one of the openings. Secure the star ball to the pole with clear packing tape. On cue, press the detonator button to create a futuristic blast off special effect.
