Spotlight Artist: Guido Verhoef, CBA

“A dentist needs a drill, a carpenter needs an electric saw, a balloon professional can’t live without a Precision Air. It’s the fastest and easiest solution for any project and is the one inflator that really helped to grow my business.”

Guido Verhoef, born in the Netherlands, has worked as a performing artist since 1991. Guido attended the European School for Performing Arts and started his own artist company in 1995.

Since 1999, Guido has combined various performing styles with balloon art and is actively involved in the international balloon and event industry. His 19 years of experience as a theatre performer and creative director in the event circuit, has provided him the expertise in creating captivating stage shows and large sculpture projects.

His company Manifold, designs exclusive acts and creative balloon designs for large scale company events and has arranged over 4,000 performances and decorations in the last decade alone. With his work as a sculpture artist, Guido has been recognized with industry awards and has set multiple worldwide records. See below.

Guido organized the first International Balloon Fashion Shows in Belgium, China and the USA and produced the world’s first balloon theatre show in Shanghai; mixing various forms of art including body paint, modern dance and break dancing with balloon fashion and performance.

Together with world champion body painter Bella Volen, they created Paintloons, where balloons are mixed with fine art and body paint.

Guido continues to travel around the world teaching balloon art and a variety of performance skills. You can see more of his work at theARTofBalloons.com.
