Spotlight Artist: Judy Bradt

Spotlight Artist: Judy Bradt, CBA

“A project I did annually took me and one employee 7 hours to inflate and size the balloons – then I purchased a Conwin Dual Split Second Sizer. It quickly paid for itself in labor costs! That piece of equipment, along with my battery back-up go everywhere with me. I am a balloon artist on the move, and boy can I move with this superior equipment!”

Judy Bradt, CBA started her company, A Special Event in January, 1992. She started out as a homebased business and quickly grew to fill a large warehouse. Judy was one of the first 100 CBA’s in the world getting her CBA in 1993. She was instrumental in forming the first QBN Chapter and for five years she was the President of the SoCAL QBN Chapter. She has taught at Conwin’s Balloon Artist Academy, IBAC, Ballooniversity, Balloon Camp, All Star Revue, WCEBAC, conventions in Australia, Brazil and Mexico and for several QBN Chapters in the USA as well as local distributors. Judy, along with her business partner and husband Dave, have won several design awards at IBAC and have been featured in the pages of Images magazine as well as Florists Review. Several years ago, Dave and Judy decided to move the business back home and concentrate on fabric draping, lighting, fresh florals, props, candy/dessert buffets and lots of “bling!”catering primarily to the wedding/quinceanera/special event trade.
